April 19, 2008: Performance by Tétreault in Montréal

4 artistes pour 2 disc-jockeys performance imagined by Martin Tétreault will star David Lafrance and D Julied mixing works by Diane Morin, Rober Racine, Jean-Pierre Gauthier, and Manon LabrecqueBlake Hargreaves will cut some 12-inch records of those mixes on Plexiglas. The event will take place on April 19, 2008 at the Auditorium of Grande Bibliothèque (Montréal) as part of the CQAM’s «10 ans d’arts médiatiques en 3 prises».

L’oreille à Vincent will take place on March 21, 2007 at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. This event features Jean-Pierre Gauthier (sound sculptures), Diane Labrosse (sampler), Martin Tétreault (turntable), Michel F Côté (electronic percussion), Christof Migone (electronics) and the Duo Travagliando formed by Jean-Pierre Gauthier and Mirko Sabatini. L’oreille à Vincent is a Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and Productions SuperMusique collaboration.

October 22, 2005: Montréal invades Static x-static in Vancouver

The Vancouver New Music Festival produces Interférence: statique x-statique / static x-static and presents, on Wednesday Octobre 19, 2005, Fred Frith, Jean Derome and Pierre Tanguay. And on Thursday October 20, it’s Diane Labrosse, Jean-Pierre Gauthier and The Unexpected. Then, on Friday October 21, the festival presents Joane Hétu, Magali Babin and Klaxon Gueule. Finally, on Saturday October 22, morceaux_de_machines will be making their first Vancouver appearance at the festival.

November 28, 2004: Sounding Objects and Surfaces in Québec City

Frottements, an exhibiton dedicated to the exploration of sounding objects and surfaces, is shown at the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (Québec City) September 1 to Novembre 28, 2004. The exhibition’s curator, Nicole Gingras — who also directed the book S:on, Sound in Contemporary Canadian Art, gathered several artists such as Jean-Pierre Gauthier, Raymond Gervais, Jocelyn Robert, the Skoltz_Kolgen duo as well as Martin Tétreault. Tétreault will perform Passages sur illustration sur vinyle on the first night, September 1, 2004 at 7 pm in the museum’s auditorium. On September 17, Skoltz_Kolgen will give a live performance at 9pm.
